Service: Linux auf USB-Stick
Ihr USB-Stick bootet nicht so wie er soll? Sie wissen nicht, wie Sie Ihre USB-Festplatte am Besten partitionieren sollen, um Knoppix darauf unterzubringen? Wir bieten Ihnen die Installation auf USB-Stick oder USB-Festplatte als Leserservice zum Selbstkostenpreis — Sie schicken uns den Datenträger und bekommen ihn etwa eine Woche später bootfähig zurück.
Dank der von uns modifizierten Boot-Dateien können Sie die Distributionen frei kombinieren, beispielsweise DamnSmallLinux und Kanotix zusammen auf einem USB-Stick mit einem Gigabyte oder die Knoppix-DVD-Version und DamnSmallLinux auf USB-Festplatte. Die Auswahl erfolgt in einem komfortablen Bootmenü (Screenshot Bootmenü Syslinux).
Und so funktioniert es:
- Füllen Sie das PDF-Formular aus und schicken Sie es zusammen mit USB-Festplatte oder -Stick an uns.
- Nach etwa einer Woche erhalten Sie den präparierten und getesteten Datenträger zurück.
Die Kosten betragen 10€ für USB-Sticks und 15€ für USB-Festplatten. Es kommen Versandkosten von 2€ (USB-Stick, Versand im Luftpolsterumschlag) bis 7€ (Festplatte, Versand als versichertes Paket) dazu. Die Zahlung kann per Rechnung (USB-Stick) oder per Vorkasse bzw. Nachnahme (Festplatte, mehrere Sticks) erfolgen. Lässt sich Linux nicht auf allen drei Testsystemen booten, fallen nur die Kosten für den Versand an. Käufer der Festplattenversion bekommen eine Boot-CD (gebrannt auf 8cm-Rohling), die DamnSmallLinux enthält und den Bootvorgang der anderen Systeme von USB anstoßen kann. Sollten Sie noch keinen USB-Stick oder keine Festplatte besitzen, können wir meistens auch den Datenträger liefern. Bitte fragen Sie per Email nach den verfügbaren Größen und Preisen.
Für Firmenkunden, die größere Mengen bootfähiger Sticks benötigen, passen wir die Distributionen gerne an. Die Modifikationsmöglichkeiten reichen vom Bootscreen über das Desktop-Hintergrundbild bis hin zur Integration Ihrer Anwendung — das kann ein Virenscanner oder eine komplette Warenwirtschaft sein. Als Nebeneffekt lässt sich mit den modifizierten Bootdateien auch eine startfähige CD erstellen.

ich hätte mir bei Ihnen gerne ‘LINUX auf dem USB-Stick’ bestellt (+ Hardware).
Abhängig ist dies aber davon, ob ich mit meinem AWARD-BIOS überhaupt zum booten in der Lage bin. Die folgenden Optionen stehen mir zur Verfügung:
Floppy, LS120, Hard Disk, CDROM, Zip100, USB-FFD, USB-ZIP und USB-CDROM.
Das Mainboard ist ein ‘ECS Elitegroup KV2 Lite’.
Falls das booten möglich ist hätte nur noch gerne Ihren Preis für den bespielten Stick + Versand gewusst.

Hallo,
ich bin sehr begeistert von den Möglichkeiten des bootens mehrerer Linuxsysteme auf einem Stick. Das habe ich mir schon immer gewünscht. Mit Knoppix und PartedMagic sind wesentlich Möglichkeiten gegeben – was ich mir noch wünschen würde wäre die Möglichkeit auch Supergrub als Live-Distri vom Stick zu booten, um Bootprobleme zu beheben. Leider bekomme ich es aber nicht hin. Ist so eine Erweiterung denkbar und unaufwendig zu machen?
