PC Magazin Linux 03/2006 im Handel
Seit heute ist PC Magazin Linux 03/2006 im Handel. Von mir verfasste Artikel sprechen vor allem etwas fortgeschrittenere Nutzer an:
- Einstieg in die Virtualisierung mit Xen
- Paketmanagement auf der Kommandozeile bei Fedora Core 5 und Suse 10.1
- Bootfähige USB-Laufwerke mit Syslinux
Zu Xen habe ich bereits ein aktualisiertes uClibc-Rootdateisystem sowie ein Image mit openSUSE 10.1 erstellt. Weitere Images sind in Arbeit: Es lohnt sich also, gelegentlich einen Blick in das verlinkte Verzeichnis zu werfen.
Die Heft-DVD enthält fünf ISO-Images in CD-Größe der neuen openSUSE 10.1 (finale Version, nicht Release Candidate 3 wie vereinzelt bei Mitbewerbern). Daneben sind Xen 3.0.2 (Quellcodes und Binärdateien) sowie Collax Business Server und einige Mini-Distributionen mit an Bord.
