Neue Tutorials und Xen-Images
Es stehen neue Tutorials zu Ubuntu und Images für unpriviligierte Xen-Domains bereit.
Zwei Tutorials zur Installation von Ubuntu: Beide zielen auf Einsatzbereiche, die eine Installation von der Live-/Alternate-CD nicht zulassen:
- Ubuntu 6-06 LTS für Xen domU “debootstrappen”
- Ubuntu 6-06 auf Rootservern installieren (am Beispiel Strato)
Das Strato-Beispiel ist auf alle Rootserver übertragbar, die mit Rettungssystem gestartet werden können. Andere Provider bieten Debian-basierte Rettungssysteme, die das “debootstrappen” vom Rettungssystem aus erlauben oder stellen semi-offizielle Ubuntu-Images bereit (bspw. Hetzner).
Zwei neue Xen-Images: Minimale Ubuntu 6-06 Installationen eignen sich zum Aufbau von Server-domUs. Erhältlich in 32 und 64 Bit:
Bitte beim ersten Start xm create -c configfile.cfg verwenden, da noch kein SSH installiert ist. Nach der Anpassung der Netzwerkkonfiguration (default auf DHCP) kann ein Root-Passwort gesetzt und SSH nachinstalliert werden. Bitte auch mit dpkg-reconfigure locales und tzconfig Zeitzone etc. einstellen.
